  6. among the most known members of the
  7. quite popular Swedish group. We
  8. decided to find out more about them.
  9. Here is the result. In the following,
  10. these abbrevations apply.

  16. EC: »CL2:What is your function in 3LE and
  17.     how long have you been a member?
  18.     (A bit about yourself, perhaps!)»

  20. SP: »CL4:Well, I do graphics and design and
  21.     I've been a member since Nov`96 I
  22.     also took my dear friend Plus8
  23.     with me. but I knew some of the
  24.     original members since a long time
  25.     ago, so i guess I made myself at
  26.     home quite fast.  Now a little
  27.     about myself: I started scening
  28.     for real on the Amiga back in
  29.     1992. I was into the C64 before
  30.     that but back then most of the
  31.     time was wasted on gaming. :) 
  32.     My older brother (Hitchhiker of
  33.     Digitech) was the one who got me 
  34.     hooked to the scene at first. He
  35.     was awake all nights coding demos
  36.     and packmenus and entering strange
  37.     competitions and stuff. Back then
  38.     I always adored those neverending
  39.     bobs and the first time I saw a
  40.     line vector it was already to
  41.     late! I had become a 
  42.     scene-addict! Time went on I sold
  43.     my C64 and bought my brothers
  44.     Amiga and I have been in a lot of
  45.     more or less known groups to
  46.     finally end up here in Three
  47.     little elks (???) I sure hope so
  48.     atleast.»
  49. P8: »CL6:I do graphic design and promotes
  50.     3LE with posters and stuff. I
  51.     joined together with Spot in Nov
  52.     `96, it was a package-deal really.
  53.     ;) I didn't know any of the
  54.     members before, except Ant, but
  55.     I've found myself comfortable with
  56.     the others. Plus8 history: I
  57.     re-joined the scene in early `96
  58.     after some years in "exile". Spot
  59.     persuaded me to go to Icing96 with
  60.     him, and after that I was hooked
  61.     on the scene. Again. To mention
  62.     The Old Days, I got my first Amiga
  63.     back in `89.»

  65. EC: »CL2:Do you like being a member/How
  66.     come, you like it?»
  67. SP: »CL4:Jupp, It comes with age.
  68.     Seriously, we are very good
  69.     friends inside the group and thats
  70.     actually what really matters. We
  71.     don't release as many megs/week as
  72.     Hellfire but I think I can live
  73.     with that. ;)»
  74. P8: »CL6:Definetly. All of the members are
  75.     creative and supports new ideas,
  76.     and since I do graphic design for
  77.     a living this was the perfect
  78.     group for me.»

  80. EC: »CL2:Personally, I'm a great fan of the
  81.     crazy style and design of  3LE's
  82.     demos. What do you think of it? Do
  83.     you make weird graphics yourself?»
  84. SP: »CL4:Do I make weird graphics? BOY DO I
  85.     MAKE WEIRD GRAPHICS!!! Nah, I
  86.     think that you have to judge for
  87.     yourself. I think I'm a bit more
  88.     into design and the overall looks
  89.     rather than pure pixeling at the
  90.     moment but that does absolutely
  91.     not mean that I don't do some
  92.     pictures and logos every now and
  93.     then.  I like the craziness in the
  94.     3LE demos but I think that there's
  95.     a lack of design in some ways.»
  96. P8: »CL6:3LE has, in a way, found its niche
  97.     on the scene, but some projects
  98.     that are in the works right now
  99.     may take 3LE in another direction.
  100.     But to cite my good friend Yoda:
  101.     "Always in motion is the future".
  102.     Regarding the weird graphics, I
  103.     don't do any. Just freaky
  104.     experiments with typography.»

  121. EC: »CL2:The ELK-animations. I'm pretty
  122.     sure that everybody loves them.
  123.     have they come to stay? Will 3LE
  124.     release a pack with them someday?

  130.     in general? more funny demos? Any
  131.     wild plans?»
  132. SP: »CL4:The future is quite bright if you
  133.     ask me, we have a lot of planned
  134.     releases and everything is just
  135.     fine. The happy ones who live near
  136.     Gothenburg (Spot, Plus8, Tabasco,
  137.     Explorer, Android & Nude) meet at
  138.     least once a week over a cup of
  139.     coffee. Rumours say that there is
  140.     currently a demo starring the
  141.     ultra cute Hello Kitty and her
  142.     friends under developement.»
  143. P8: »CL6:Not to mention the games
  144.     department!»

  146. EC: »CL2:As you can see in the
  147.     chart-section, 3LE has quickly
  148.     moved itself all the way up among
  149.     the most voted for overall groups.
  150.     Does that surprise you?»
  151. SP: »CL4:No not really, there simply isn't
  152.     that many quality groups left, and
  153.     thats really a shame.»
  154. P8: »CL6:3LE productions always feature a
  155.     sense of humour, and I think
  156.     that's a major part of the
  157.     "success". I mean, few groups
  158.     manage to have a consequent
  159.     approach to their line of demos.»

  161. EC: »CL2:Are there any plans of increasing
  162.     the memberlist in 3LE? How's your
  163.     organization? Are you all close
  164.     friends outside the scene as well?»
  165. SP: »CL4:The amount of members is according
  166.     to me just fine. But who knows?
  167.     The organization is good, most of
  168.     the times. I mean, we meet a lot
  169.     and my phonebill is starting to
  170.     get awfully high.»
  171. P8: »CL6:I think the same as Spot, except
  172.     that I only got a GSM phone, so
  173.     it's the others' phone Bills
  174.     that's going sky-high. ;)»
